Some Art Statements and Thoughts
Why do I make art?
I enjoy making art which explores the high strangeness of our world and aspects of the sentient condition therein. Through character design, story telling, absurd objects, and varying styles of craftsmanship I explore what it means to be in a time and place that is. Taking great inspiration from science, art, philosophy, and story telling in my work, I believe these disciplines to be more similar than not. Like the universe, these practices represent emergent facets of an intermingling space in reality. 0 and infinity are contextually the same, yet there are many interesting numbers in between. I have no clue what it all means. We have some ideas seeing parts of the whole. So through my art I like to question the big, through silly happenings of the small.
To be rooted in existence is to grow through it.

Some BIO
Born and Raised in Austin, Texas, I grew up spending a lot of time outdoors, reading, watching cartoons, running around, enjoying sports, and doing art stuff. Here is where some of the central tenants I hold dear took root: Live with curiosity, respect nature, and make sure you cook good food with friends and family. It always tastes better that way. I believe this is where my love for collaborative art projects comes from. We can always do more together. I studied at Austin Community College and the University of North Texas Where I had a multidisciplinary background with a general focus on sculpture. There I studied art history, painting, printmaking, illustration and graphic art alongside my 3D pursuits. I currently reside in Denton where I continue to practice art in a diverse way.
